Olden-age novelists
I met them in the compartment
Reading and travelling
And passing time,
With the novels
On their seats
Whoever would be they
Novel-writers or readers
On seeing them
Think I of the days
When people used to bring
The novels
From the stalls
Paying charges
And turning over the pages
With rapt attention.
