Olympic Games Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Olympic Games

Olympic Games

I wonder, truly and deeply
Do we know Olympic?

Put aside the Rio and Sochi
Also the London and Tokyo…

And their likes
Recent times
This ugly race
For "None"

Talking of Olympic to me is
Pilgrimage to Ganga or the Hajj to Mecca

And their likes
Older times
Beauty and
For all!

Elderly encouraged:
"Go and see, get involved;
For helping raise sleeves."

And it was beauty…

But today advise us:
"Wear makeups,
Expose it, be sexy."

What a shame!
