On A Full Moon Day Poem by Venkatesh Davangere

On A Full Moon Day

Rating: 5.0

My dear one if you want to come,
come on a full moon day;
when all the stars join moon
just to amuse us.
We can lay on a porch and watch
and if there is chance I can see your
glittering face reflected by the moon.
Oh! What a sight will it be.
When you think you are bored,
we can part away for sure
and walk on a different roads where
it leads to a better place.
Not for me but for "you"
For I the foolish one
Always wanders and enjoy the nature
Yet I have not learnt;
Why to keep a sword if there is no battle
Unlike I never wished like you
To stay and enjoy in a withering mansion.
Don't you ever think of me dear
and shed tears, As I always say
"My journey is itself my destination"

It is the nature that ignites romance in the lovers' heart. Nothing better than a full moon to get into the trance. I like a few lines 'We can lay on a porch and watch ....and if there is chance I can see your glittering face reflected by the moon'. Thanks.
