On A Rainy July Evening Poem by Thungem Lam

This is the most wonderful evening
When trees and plants dance in the rain
Under the musical beats of heaven's instrument
And every branches bow as if in prayer

Herald, the leaves grown green, fruits ripen in golden
Like the peak of one's youth grown
Swiftly pass the fortune of glory

Ah! The wind embrace with love
So fresh as the spring water
That sprinkle on a very hot desert
Sweet relief of a man's dismay

This is the most perfect evening
When love's bloom in every human heart
Like every roses bloom
Under the grace of heaven

When the rain had ceased
With our roof with crystal drips
A warm cup of coffee would be nice
With a friend to share and talk.
