On A Wall Poem by Abby Mize

On A Wall

Rating: 2.5

You say don't write about love
So what should I do
What else should I write about
Animals in a zoo

But that seems kinda pointless
Like wood burning in a fire
I can't think of anything else
I might as well retire

After all I'm not that good
There are so many much better
Some who sit and write
A twenty page letter

But my poetry is plain
I just say what I feel
But I'm not into plagiarizing
Cause it's not good to steal

So I make up my own stuff
When I'm sitting alone and bored
Unfortunately I'm not famous
And I don't get rewards

My poems are not bestsellers
They are barely known at all
I just hope I'll be remembered
So my poems will hang on a wall
