On Ageing (2) Poem by Sheena Blackhall

On Ageing (2)

Keeping an ageing body afloat
Is baling water from a leaking boat

My bones are glass, a slip could shatter them
At 70, my motto's carpe diem
Rattling with pills like a tub of coloured smarties
