On Looking At Her Picture Poem by Tuhin Sengupta

On Looking At Her Picture

Why look the other way? Oh

yes it is better to..i understand it now.
Here the world is going fast..like a mad racer
Who cares little for the men and his life..

How can you smile?
How does nature borrow her smile from
The blooming flowers
And bestow it on your lips?

Don't you see the world..with the bloody sword
That he shows not, but thrust from behind
And we are too stunned to speak

Like a lotus blooming on a filthy water pond
Where bloodsucker spiders track their hunt
Your smile floats on a world that feeds
On innocent blood.

Let not it go..the world needs a roof
When the fire and flame
Of negligence and scorn
And traitor guile scorth
The heart and soul.

Your smile be like a floating butterfly
Dancing dancing dancing
Making sure some paradise flower are in bloom
And your hair..darkk and secret and divine
Let it spread and cover like the monsoon clouds
And from which the nectre of heaven`s grace come.
