On One Knee
You look at me,
with eyes full of light
Like a hundred windows to your soul
opening so bright
You smile, and I,
struck with such unparalleled beauty,
cannot but smile at your pretty face
as the sun behind us fades
Our hands meet in eternal love;
A kind of love so foreign to me,
and yet it feels like home,
as I get down on one knee..
