On Reading
I was reading short stories by Todd Strasser
My heart started beating faster and faster
It was a ghost story book
Which was very scary to look.
I read about faces in fire,
And the next line said
The faces will be visible only to a liar.
I saw ghosts everywhere
And they shouted beware!
My heart started beating faster and faster,
Yet I continued to read the book by Todd Strasser.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
