On Suffering
I don't think Christ wanted to suffer, enjoyed suffering, or was happy to suffer. In fact, he went through a lot of turmoil in it. He did know though,
(in the midst of it) that it had an extraordinary purpose.
So knowing our sufferings may bring us compassion for those who also suffer, is a light to bits of happiness in the aftermath.
I'm sure all legit Christian churches preach this.
