I spoke to Michael Kelleher on the phone today
He talked of places from here far away
Far inland from Hibernia's Atlantic shore
The fields of Claraghatlea and Claramore.
He talked of Millstreet his beloved homeplace
Where his is a known and remembered face
The Town he left some four decades ago
Where the Finnow from the foot of Gneeves flow
Through the old fields and by many a hedgerow
His love for home it only seems to grow
Though far from Millstreet Town his bones may lay
He will talk of it till his life's final day.
Near Melbourne he has spent most of his life
Married to Rosemary his devoted Aussie wife
He has raised his children far from Hibernia's shore
And the fields of Claragahatlea and Claramore.
