On The Immortality Of Soul Poem by Amparo Perez Arrospide

On The Immortality Of Soul

If god I were, and not a chamber-maid
a few modifications to implement
on immortality of souls, indi-v-
isible, what a mistake, correct
by deadly blow vital excess,
that can't be hoped -despite being a god-
But to create a hell for those who cling,
what a mistake! an economic stroke,
a bad investment,

NO NO NO NO NO

Better just to deny them any soul:
soul-less, they won't
return -not in the flesh,
not in their fruits, not in their trees,
not in their lines,
they will just be deleted from earth,
that i would do, if god I were
and not a humble chamber-maid.
