On The Other Side Of The Mirror Poem by Alexander Thomas

On The Other Side Of The Mirror

Rating: 3.0

I followed you through the mirror,
Because in you I saw my reflection,
I found the light on the other side,
But it went dark with your rejection!

I've built a labyrinth of the heart by crafting this art,
But it has become a jail from which there is no bail,
I keep banging but you feign not to hear the mirror clanging,
I'm unable to pass trapped behind this glass!

Such a heavy weight from all that once we did create,
Stuck down a hole in the epic landscape of the soul,
What use is a throne if you rule alone?
I beg you grant my release by being sincere to give me peace!
