On The Topic Of Love - Poem by Eleanor Zerega

To act selfishly, is the direct opposite of Loving
Selfishness demonstrates a lack of self respect, which earns the disrespect of others
Disrespect hinders Love
Ignorance causes misunderstanding
Misunderstanding causes fear
Fear causes selfishness
Selfishness causes ingratitude
Knowledge gives understanding
Understanding gives confidence (banishes fear)
Confidence brings independence and self respect
Self respect leads to the respect of others
Respect is the basis of Love
Love brings gratitude and banishes selfishness.

Topic(s) of this poem: love
