On This Rainy Day Poem by Moth Harris

On This Rainy Day

Rating: 3.5

So I come to you on this rainy day
To hope the rain can wash this away
All the pain I feel and the regret inside
For all of this spiteful fear I hide

I cannot explain to you how it feels
Just everytime I walk into this place
I'm met with disgrace and the feeling of failure
With storm clouds above

My bodies soaked but I'm not clean
To hope is too far in between
All the pain I feel for this
All the pain it takes to resist

It's far too late to say now
That I wish my path wasn't set back from where I came
It's not the same to say it's a new a year
On this rainy day

So I come to you on this rainy day
To hope that this will wash away
I'm scared of change and the same old new
I'm scared that this sky will never be blue

So many excuses I can choose
Even though the choice is mine
I'm still too scared to move
From the only place that feels like home. on such a rainy day

My bodies soaked but I'm not clean
I've said so much but you don't know what I mean
I'm scared of going back to that place once again
I'm dissapointed that I won't have my old friend

So I come to you on this rainy day
With a head filled with stress and headaches
I've tried for a short time now and I don't plan to rest
For once in my life I'll do what ever it takes
For once in my life I'll give it my best.
