red roses, oh, expensive ones
inside a box, and some chocolates,
oh, again those expensive ones
for the one you love, and kisses and
hugs and love and love throughout
the night
all the normal ones, nothing surprising.
on the other hand, a neighbor who had
been a widow for a year, her husband died
of brain cancer, posts in facebook, with her
five dogs, and red paper heart cut outs all
pasted on their ears.
all those who are grieving, and just coping.
