Once Poem by Bryan Riley

Once

Once a part of me
now gone
For once the
will to carry on
Once for nothing
left to do is
once too much...
this one's for you

Twice for once
would then suffice
for once to melt
this heart of ice
Two times then
for heart of stone
and three to build
a love alone

Three times once
is only three
for once is all
you'll ever be
For twice
the wind that
stops to sigh
and once for
every time I die

Not once for
all you've
put me through
is once too much...
for even you.
