Once Upon A Time Poem by Connie Tallada

Once Upon A Time

Once upon a time in a faraway land
Where there are no princes and princesses that live in grand
And no king and queen that role the land
In the unknown kingdom of the unknown dynasty
A child was born to the unknown majesty

Raised up from the unguarded palace
She lived with a sword and was trained hard
In a place where no barbie dolls were allowed
She learned to fight and stand tall in the crowd
In a war of life she remains undefeated and proud

She is a warrior who faces life without fear
In triumphs she remains robust and didn't surrender
Inside the arena of trials and countless enemies
She battles bravely with unbended knees
Without haste she conquers darkness

She wears neither cape nor ride in an armored horse
She has nothing but a brave heart along the course
All by herself she struggles against devil's force
She is a knight at the middle of a battlefield
Protecting herself not to be get killed

She knows how to handle herself perfectly
In combats she never quits even she's not okay
Impediment for her may not that easy
She may not have servants to help her along the way
Still she is geared to win the battle fearlessly

In her veins flows the blood of a true survivor
In her heart lives a spirit of a hailed gladiator
In her soul lies her greatest ammunition
The power to surpass every filthy creation
And the courage to pursue the cause of her action

She may not be as powerful as the emperor
And she may not own a palace with a golden floor
She may not have a kingdom to role
And she may not have soldiers to call
One thing will be for sure, she will never fall

She may not be a leading lady in a theater
She may not have a muskeeter to save her
And she may not be living in a fairytale chapter
But I have to tell this unfamous story anyway
Once upon a time a child was born and that was me
