"I want somethin' else to get me through this semi-charmed
life; I'm not listenin' when you say..."
—Third Eye Blind, "Semi-Charmed Life", You Tube Music Video

Once you betrayed me, old friend,
you have pitted yourself against me,
always, have female ways, wiles—
the way you pressed your breasts up,
up against my back whenever I visited.
But I guess those visits are well over,
at least for the time being. For our
lifetimes? Well, Wellsville, we will see.
His life cut short—it continues to bother,
plagues my dreams, your life left to recall
such tragedy. Fell Death, do not advance.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Death is final, puts a complete end to things, hopes, plans. It ever seems so, moreso, with the untimely death of a friend.
