One - Poem by Kelly Kurt

The average religious person believes in one faith, one god; his.
There are literally thousands of others that he denies.
The only difference between that person and an atheist is ONE.
They believe in just one less god than the insincere saints.

As I've indicated many times, especially to my readers regarding modern day philosophy, if you need to depend on a faith then you don't have enough faith in yourself. It's simple. There is a method of discovering if there is a 'god'. (Report) Reply

I don't know what that method may be, unless it is to recognize that we are all our own god

WOW! You don't take prisoners! This is the bull's eye! This elucidates the obvious and thereby diminishes the pomposity of religious sectarian belief.
And you do it without fuss, or breaking a sweat, or insulting those who believe. But now the stage is cleared of outdated trappings, our minds are free, let's pursue common goals in peace

Peace should be the ultimate goal. Little can be accomplished without it. When the most divisive (non) issue comes down to just ONE, rationality dictates that, that one is illogical and its removal from the conversation is imperative. Thanks, Daniel

Faith an never be separated from life. Different people have different faith. Very wonderful sharing definitely.10 (Report) Reply

Faith can be separated from life when it is understood that the concept of believing in something (Especially to the point of investing your entire life into it) without any evidence, is madness

I hope that boat is not made by Noah... That would be kind of ridiculous... The bigger difference between the atheist and sensible religious persons, and 'nuts' is that they deny everything science says and eventually yell about that in the Internet.. I am quite sure that Gods did not invent the internet but humans did.. But well, sometimes the arguments are as worthless as the factuality of sciptures... I would rather believe that guy in the Ancient Aliens than what the scriptures talk about the history of the human animals.... Thanks Kelly.. A fine poem, but very few would agree with this, unfortunately... (Report) Reply

Of that number, I think many would be at least swayed if presented the proper logic. Thanks, Souren

Puts it all into perspective Kelly. Other than our beliefs, we are the same. Thanks. (Report) Reply

How that minute discrepancy is ignored is flabbergasting. We are all the same, in the same boat.
