One Celled Entities Poem by Bill Dureen

One Celled Entities

Rating: 5.0

Some parasites improve our lives
While others do no good
They have their own agendas
As any life form should
Surviving in their tiny world
Unseen and undetected
Living solitarily
Apart and unprotected.

So many one celled entities
Existing in our blood
Have been with us for centuries
And still rise from the mud
They're hiding in our private spots
A few in public spaces
Would we feel less uncomfortable
If we could see their faces?
