One Day. Poem by Michael Davis

One Day.

When the World was waking from it's long slumber,
With Winter turning to Spring,
We met that morning in Early February,
And my heart began to sing!

I looked into your beautiful brown eyes,
And you made me feel so good,
And I hid the signs that would say,
That I fell for you on that day.

When I asked you to catch me, you oblidged,
And never again would I have to hide,
How much I adore you in every way,
And that we shall be together... one day.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Yet another for the women who shall remain anonymous to all but me. I think this was the very first time I turned to poetry to express my overwhelming feelings for her, and I shall look back with sadness that the one day shall not happen in this life or the next.
