One Day I'Ll Ask You Why Poem by Alfred Ramos

One Day I'Ll Ask You Why

One day I'll ask you why
But today is not a good day
Don't want you to see me high
One day I'll ask you why
No matter how hard we try
It always ends in goodbye
Now I sit in front of my t.v. set
It's the best its gonna get
Emptying beer bottles trying to forget
That first moment when we met
You smiled at me and I smiled back
We both felt the vibrations that attract
Our love grew and grew
And the years they just flew
So someday I'll ask you why
Why the train crash
With no answer but a sigh
One day I'll ask you why
About the darkness in our sky
With so much love
How we used up our supply
Now I lay awake at night
Afraid to turn off the light
Scared to dream of what could have been
How we let it be over
Before we could begin
Sleepless nights turn into hangover days
Bloodshot eyes that see no better ways
One day I'll ask you why
Rather than eat, I prefer to cry
