One Day I'll See You Again Poem by Danzel Ong

One Day I'll See You Again

Rating: 4.0

I swore to protect them,
The day I become one with the corps,

The day I became a Hashira,
I knew my path and destiny,

I will not disappoint them,
I will set out to fulfil my duty,

No matter what the odds might be,
Or how slim a chance might be,

My mother once told me,
It was the duty of every gifted person,

To use their strength to help the weak,
To protect them from all harm that might come,

Thank you mother,
Your words have reached me,

Your words have given me strength,
I am blessed to being born to such a person like you,

The time has come for me to go,
Don't cry,

This is the fate of every human being,
It happens sooner or later to everyone,

Set your heart ablaze,
Grit your teeth and move forward,

Don't stop moving,
No matter how devastated you may be,

Time won't wait for you,
Keep learning and growing,

One day you will do the same,
Like what I did for you,

I believe in you all,
You are the future of the corps,

Mother did I do it right?
Did I made you proud?

I close my eyes and began to sleep,
And felt my mother's hands around me.....
