One Day In Amritsar... Poem by Sumita Jetley

One Day In Amritsar...

In the city's heart, where histories entwine,
A Sufi sage, Kamil, with eyes divine.
Spoke of life's symphony, so vast, so grand,
Where we're both the music and the land.

'Look to the temple, golden, serene,
A symbol of what's eternally seen.
Within its walls, a peace profound,
Mirroring our spirit, where truth is found.

We are not just flesh, nor titles worn,
But the spirit that through us is born.
Like the temple, sacred and pure,
Our true nature, forever to endure.

In this grand universe, our place we find,
Not in the world, but in the heart and mind.
For within us lies the eternal light,
Guiding us through day and night.'

In Amritsar's glow, the seeker found peace,
Understanding in her heart did increase.
We're the temple, sacred and divine,
Reflecting the eternal, in life's grand design.
