One Day You Will Regret Poem by Mella McPretty

One Day You Will Regret

One day you will regret
ever winning that bet
The one that resulted in me being the prize
The one that guarenteed envy from other's eyes
It's clear now that i was a pawn in a bigger game,
a game that brought you fame by my name.

One day you will regret,
promises that remain unmet.
Never has love caused me such shame,
but you're not the only one to blame.
You are what i would call a curse,
atleast for now, while my feelings i try to reverse

One day you will regret
making me feel lyk a reject.
You'll look back and realise my love for you is true,
but by then my feelings would be through.
So savour your short-lived glory, but don't forget...
One day you really will regret...
