Without It - Still Me Poem by Mella McPretty

Without It - Still Me

Love walked out a long time ago without warning,
you seem to be ok, im all choked up
What am i supposed to say? ? Guess im still in mourning
of wanting what i can't have for wanting what can't be
for wanting, even without you a happier me.
A hunger for a seemingly simple need
The whole idea of wishing upon a star does not seem so far-fetched
when presented with a desperate idea, a wish looks less like a stretch.
Life's little mistakes, getting my deseving end
to any command i refuse to bend
till im me, all in all
i know then i can honestly answer the role call
