One Final Prayer Poem by Kirsty Richards

One Final Prayer

Every ounce of motivation taken from my soul
Every light and glimpse of hope now left dead and cold
I once had dreams and inspiration, those days long passed by
Now Im left with no solution other than goodbye

On my knees, I bow my head to make one final prayer
To ask the lord why, when I begged, you were never there
Why was I forgotten, left alone to fight this pain
And everytime I lost the battle, you turned away again

I know Ive made mistakes lord, but could you not forgive
Is this the tortured life that you had planned for me to live
I have so many questions but I know you wont reply
So my prayers will stay unanswered now its time to say goodbye
