One Simple Word ~ Jedna Obična Riječ - Poem by Jankovic Zoran

I needed it last night
someone your letter.
One ordinary word like:
"Good night, darling."

You only talked about yourself.

I thought you were going
to tell me to feel my sorrow;
that you will cover my loneliness
With the words: "I think of you."

I said I'm looking forward to it
what is nice to you and how happy you are.
You did not appear again that night.

I had a smile on my face
for your joy and happiness,
and in my soul I was sad
because I knew you were
not answer that evening.

I was sad and lonely
but I thought about you,
which was once known
how breathes my letters.
I only felt silence
which hurt your unwritten words.

And I missed that evening
only one, plain and warm,
your most expensive word:
"Good night, darling."

Jedna obična riječ

Sinoć mi je trebalo
neko tvoje slovo.
Jedna obična riječ,
recimo: "Laku noć, mili."

Ti si govorila samo o sebi.

Mislio sam da ćeš mi reći
da osjećaš moju tugu;
da ćeš pokriti moju samoću
riječima: "Mislim na tebe."

Rekao sam da se radujem
što ti je lijepo i što si vesela.
Nisi se te noći više javljala.

Ja sam imao na licu osmijeh
zbog tvoje radosti i sreće,
a u duši mi je bila tuga
jer sam znao da se ti
te večeri više nećeš javiti.

Bio tužan i usamljen
ali sam mislio na tebe,
onu koja je nekad znala
kako dišu moja slova.
Osjećao sam samo tišinu
koju bole tvoje nenapisane riječi.

A te večeri mi je nedostajala
samo jedna, obična a topla,
tvoja, najjeftinija riječ:
"Laku noć, mili."
