One Two Three Four Poem by Courtney Beaudry

One Two Three Four

Hello, he said
From hello he had me in his grip
And I was taken over, amounted
I wondered if maybe he would stick
And oh I wrote him love letters
Even though I knew better
Then to try and win a prize
That was outta my league

One two three four
I knew what I was looking for
One two three four
I wished we could be something more
One two three four
Till you kicked me out the door
The beating of my hurting heart

We were good friends
Told each other everything
Except that you never said
I was your everything

And oh I tried
To make it work for us
Even though I can see now
Why I can't trust

One two three four
I knew what I was looking for
One two three four
I wished we could be something more
One two three four
Till you kicked me out the door
The beating of my hurting heart

The ticking of the clock
Oh, in a one two three four
Situation
But not now, no more, no more
Bye bye boy
And please
Don't hurt me again
