There is but one word in the world
That separates right from wrong
That separates man from beast
That we cannot comprehend
This one word sounds so powerful
But is only as strong as the person
Who wields this word of power
And the purpose from one to another
It cannot be contained
It cannot be controlled
It seeks out newer use
Our individuality fuels it
Soft hearted and contempt is the man
Who uses this word to describe
His fears, his doubts, and everything inside
The mind of this broken man
The balance this word has on the world
Is tightrope thin and unstable
A word to separate man from beast
In our own way different yet equal
