Only for a moment, I said.
This was all I needed.
Just a moment with you
Was all I needed to tell you
How much I love you.

Only for a moment, I said.
This would tell me how much
You care for me
And that you need me
Here, today and now.

Only for a moment, I said.
Without this moment,
I can't see a tomorrow,
The tomorrow that you take my hands
And not let them go.

Only for a moment, I said.
I know this will answer
All our doubts and fears.
We'll know for sure
That love brought us here.
