Uriah Sheep

Only Hero To Myself - Poem by Uriah Sheep

I crawl through the lies
it hurts it cuts
but I won't give up
I walk through the fire
it hurts and burns
but in the end I'll be free
the grave awaits, but I pray - I wont need to stay
here in your hell

my mind is like a rock
keep hitting me, keep deluding me
but I feel like never before
like I'm the only hero left on earth
yet the rock is you, it's you

trying to stay safe, but can't deny the grace
they try to make me paranoid, but I know
there's no reason to fear, no reason to believe
in a world that's so far away
in a world without love, your world

the silence is my peace
the noise is my wilderness
like Jekyll & Hyde in the same time

you can lie to my face
make me believe your wicked game
you can try to break my mind
but my soul have no price

don't try to make me one
with a world you can't share
don't try to make me hope
in the lies you give each day

don't make me believe
in the lies and deceit
of your wicked game
