In my mind
I know it can't work

Only one of our hearts can feel the hurt
Beating to the sound of the others voice

In this situation there is no choice
Friends forever

Friends for life
Only in my dreams will we ever ignite

Don't get me wrong
Friends are good

But a relationship in a sense that could stand
The test of time when we hold hands

I could treat you like royalty
I could hold you so close

In my dreams
Things always work

But in the real world we feel hurt
Only in my mind will we ever work
