I see the hurt in your eyes
This concern seated deep inside
As if you hear my cries

I hate to have caused you such pain
But how long should I have tried
When you yourself did advise
That there was nothing I could gain

To you my heart belongs
My souls twin flame
You I can not fight - oh shame!
Though I know this should be wrong

So I will only love you in silence
No word, no glance, nor gentle soft touch
In a state of feigned acquiescence
