Split - Poem by C.S. Keskuela
My mind and heart are split
For when you sought to win me over
Win me is what you did.
I do know you never meant to hurt me
I believe you speak truly
But now this distance renders me still
And as I dream I lose my will
In memory of your smile
So warm, so sweet in its guile.
But there’s a light that shines within you
That warms me ever so
You don’t yet really know yourself
Or what you can achieve
You think...but don’t truly believe
