Only Once
I once gave a girl what I thought was my heart,
She soon turned it down and the tore it apart,
I once loved a girl who was broken inside,
She soon loved me back but the ran off to hide,
I once cried the tears that I thought were my last,
But even my tears are now lost in the past,
I once thought that love, was what I'd let in,
But like all the rest I was wrong yet again.
