Only Tears Is The Witness Poem by Christy Marie Lucero

Only Tears Is The Witness

Rating: 5.0

I'm always in the nearness of sadness
Wanted to feel joy and happiness
Still, I have to follow dictations
Don't need to disregard limitations

Times that I needed someone to talk to
You weren't there when I need you so
Seldom, I feel alone and lonesome
You weren't there to fill my boredom

I was crying because of this oblivion
I was needing you to be my companion
Tears Fall, you weren't there to wipe it
Your heart is locked, I cannot get in

With all of this situations
Only tears can tell
I was living with emptiness
Only tears is the witness

When I'm in the midst of nothingness
Only tears is the witness
Hope you'd come along
Imprison me in your arms where I belong.
