Only The Praises Of Winners Poem by Francis Duggan

Only The Praises Of Winners

In a World where millions of people for attention compete
The down to earth people becoming harder to meet
So many do dream of material wealth and fame
But few Worldwide become known by name
Fame can have it's sources in circumstance
And does come to many only by chance
And sadly your talent does not guarantee
You a means of transcending your poverty
Though losing is something anyone would not choose
For one to win big many do have to lose
Since humanity it is structured in this way
There are winners and losers in the World every day
The Worldwide competition for success is an ongoing thing
And only the praises of winners the masses do sing.
