Only Thee Poem by Prabir Gayen

Only Thee

Only Thee
Only thee, my sacred stream,
The hush of eternity in my soul's abyss,
All else a wavering shadow, pale and lost,
A fleeting mirage upon the desert of woe.
Life flows like mist in the hollow vast,
A specter wave on the shoreless tide of Time,
Yet thou, the hidden flame within my breast,
The Oasis where thirst and sorrow fade.
In thee, within thee, my heaven breathes,
Though death's cold whisper haunts the air,
Thou art the star that knows no dusk,
The silent fire in the womb of night.
My hope, my dream, my song unstruck,
My love, my soul's luminous veil,
My joy, my peace, my one release,
In thee alone, I find my infinite sky.

Only Thee
