Only Your Name Poem by Phoenix1 Smith

Only Your Name

There will come a time
whispers of your heart
will no longer be my name

There will be some instance
you will feel some other eyes
are more beautiful than mine

There will be moments
when you won't listen
to the songs I sing

You will only love to hear
someone else's voice
bewitching and soft
captivating so clear

These are the chances
I truly dread and fear
still I cannot leave
even in a million year

For my heart solely hears
throbbing precious echo
that resounds my soul to call
only your name, to me so dear..
