Open Thy Eyes - Poem by Dave Shemeley

Where will you run to when the stars come crashing down
Live your life so free, but still you love to frown
Who's arms are you into, when your soul is torn apart

Listening to your mind, instead of what's in your heart
Blinded by the love for those that done just so wrong
Wanting to be found after being lost for oh so long

Expecting something evil in this much unwanted silence
There's nothing but love and truth, never any violence
Flower needing to bloom, just a bird wanting to fly

Surround yourself of the bad, thus you can never ever ask why
Know what you want, take your time to figure it all out
Listen to thy heart and to my words, light and love is all I'm ever about
