Open Up Poem by Alistair Tait

Open Up

Open your eyes and look around.
How does the world see you?
Take your eyes off the ground.
Look around and see who's who.

Open your ears and listen well.
Speak out good words of cheer.
For all to hear and all to tell.
Leave none with ‘owt to fear.

Open your mind to all that's fair.
Treasure that and take heed.
Change your ways. Show how much you care.
Put your thoughts into deeds.

Open your heart to every race.
Is yours an open gate?
Keep a smile on your face.
Save the world before ‘tis too late.

Open your eyes and ears and mind.
Make a start. Cleanse your heart.
Love all of humankind.
Show all the world you'll play your part.
