Open Your Eyes Poem by Patrick Dumas

Open Your Eyes

I looked in her eyes, and breathed in her feel
We've come here again, 'cause time is a wheel

The snow on the ground is warming my heart
The sun touched the trees and a fire did start

She saw what we'd done, so ka let us burn
We did what it asked but there was more left to learn

One thing we've lost and that's how to trust
Open your eyes

I will show you fear in a fistful of dust.
