Operating Room Poem by Ray Hansell

Operating Room

The room was growing darker
My eyes wouldn't stay open
I drifted off just knowing
All I had was hope

It was out of my hands
It was no longer up to me
Other people had control
I could only wait to see

When I finally awakened
I knew all had gone well
I woke up here on earth
Instead of heaven or hell
