Oppression Poem by Masroor Shafi Bhat

Oppression

I have seen the crimson
Face of diurnal sun,
Palpating and fading.
I have been through the dark
Gloomy perpetual sky,
Resting in the shadows of fierce night.

I wore out, waiting for
The end of this dismay.
The night is keeping long, Haunting
And petrifying.
Taking and devouring every star.
