Ordain Me Into Clan Poem by Sumita Jetley

Ordain Me Into Clan

In a city where night mirrors day,
Lived Aisha, amidst the fray.
A professional by the dawn's light,
Yet her soul longed for a different fight.

Before the sun kissed the sky,
She'd whisper prayers, never shy.
A garden of green, her sanctuary,
In a world otherwise ordinary.

The Sufi way, her heart's call,
Beyond the office, beyond the mall.
Ascetism, her newfound creed,
In its simplicity, she found what she'd need.

Nature's embrace, her weekend retreat,
Where earth and sky would meet.
Dhikr, her constant song,
In her heart, where it belongs.

Years passed, her spirit grew,
A light in her eyes, a deeper hue.
A master saw her true endeavor,
Ordained a Sufi, now and forever.

A bridge between worlds, she became,
In the modern rush, a different flame.
Her story, a testament, clear and profound,
In Sufism, her peace was found.
