Orenda Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Orenda

Orenda

Hey Joseph, my friend
On first day that we met
You signed book; we had words.

I was sure you would win.

Talk was short; and I left.

With me thought has remained.

“Sun’s risen as it did
Years ago for Blacks;
By Luther, Malcolm X”

Now is time
Now is time
Now is time

For owners of the land
First Nations, Indians
