Our 4-Legged Heroes Poem by Marilyn Lott

There are many war heroes
That we hear very little about
Like our furry 4-legged friends
We need to give out a shout.

They too sometimes don't come back
Just like the two legged ones
They too feel terrified at times
For war is certainly no fun.

And when they come back home
Like soldiers they aren't the same
Some are broken in spirit
And evil people are to blame.

But they are trained and trained well
They go through so many blows
Please say a prayer for those sweet
Furry and brave four-legged heroes.
