Our Coming King Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Our Coming King

At first, we used to pray for needs
And then He placed the burden there-
In our hearts, His Compassion's seed
That moved us then to pray for others.

And as that seed grew into His tree
Meant to bear fruit a thousandfold,
We learned to pray for His kingdom to be
Fulfilled on earth, as His Word has told.

Jesus Christ is our coming King,
No longer the meek Lamb that was slain-
In Him and through Him we have our being
Salt and light of this world, we must remain.

The Lion of Judah called us for the battle
Beyond all these, our fleshly concerns-
To win souls for Him in this spiritual struggle
A calling we must keep until our King returns!
